Muted tones this week paired with bugs, fish, water and saturated color accents.

I listened to a lot of 99% Invisible this week while working in my studio. I absolutely love this podcast- they chose interesting topics of aspects in life that get overlooked or under appreciated. "99% Invisible is about all the thought that goes into things we don't think about- the unnoticed architecture and design that shape out world". The episodes are well researched and really fun to listen to, plus the site has photos and videos to accompany the specific episodes.
Netflix did me right this week and suggested I watch 2005's Pride and Prejudice. I must had seen when it came out, but watching now I appreciated it so much more. The direction and cinematography are stellar- there are a lot of long one take scenes that just flow- so many times when that technique is used it just feels overdone and unnecessary. But luckily that was not the case in this film. Kiera Knightly is also just wonderful in this and I liked how much character the other sisters and female characters had. Granted the original book gave a great base line but I so appreciate the director bringing that out.
Fun fact, I went to high school with Shlohmo, aka Henry Laufer, and in my iTunes archives I have his first EP. Couch is from said EP and I love the atmosphere he created with the static/crunching/growling sounds.
It was a pretty chill studio week- I've got a lot of stuff due next week and in March so I'm kind of waiting to get started. After taking this photo I clean my workspace like a motha.
